The location of Marché Saint Pierre was the inspiration behind the name we chose for this unique French café. It is located in the heart of San Pedro (a municipality in Monterrey), otherwise Saint Pierre in the French language. Our client’s goal was for this place to be a café as well as a market where you can get all sorts of local products.
The restaurant’s branding was inspired by French typographic design. We designed icons for each of its menu sections (ex. crepes, salads, aperitifs etc.) to create a modern pattern which contrasts nicely with its classically inspired typographic design.
Located on a third floor with windows on all perimeters, this quaint little spot is the best place to sip a coffee with the best view of the mountains and forests nearby. The black and white checkered floor, the dark and rustic wood and the moldings on the ceilings are a few of the things that helped transmit the French style. The gingham fabric used for seat cushions made the place all the more cozy. At night the place opens its windows that connect to the terrace, decorated with plants and hanging lightbulbs, making it a wonderful ambiance for a casual weeknight.
